The Scotty Cameron Studio Select family of precision milled 303 Stainless Steel Newport-style putters features bold red tour graphics, an improved high toe profile, and heel & toe circular sole weights that allow for multiple length options in each model. The circular heel-toe weights provide increased stability by reducing head rotation on off-center impacts for a larger sweet spot. The factory adjustable weights are set to provide the proper headweight-to-shaft length combination.

The improved high toe profile of Studio Select helps eliminate the tendency to raise the toe at address thereby causing the player to aim left of target. Studio Select also features a stepless shaft for a clean look at address and soft but solid feel, as well as a new red Cameron Hong Kong cord grip. Studio Select H putters feature a heavier head (+10g) to provide a heavier feel preferred by some players. With the addition of Studio Select H, available in 34″ and 35″, the Scotty Cameron Studio Select line can now be fully customized for length, weight, lie angle and grip type. Studio Select H models are custom built at Titleist and are differentiated by a special Circle H shaft band.

Full Swing Golf Simulators at the Hong Kong Golf Show

Wednesday, 14th June 2006

The 2006 Hong Kong Golf Show, in its 4th year, once again proved to be a huge success for Full Swing Golf and Precision Golf & Leisure, the exclusive distributor for these incredible systems in the region. Over the 3 days of the Hong Kong show, thousands of golfers either witnessed or experienced the incredible accuracy and realism of our Full Swing Golf simulator: "The undisputed leader in golf simulation!"

PGL had one Full Swing Golf simulator on their stand at the state of the art Hong Kong convention and exhibition centre opposite the Grand Hyatt Hotel. A latest specification system running over 50 courses was used for a nearest the pin challenge with a chance to qualify each day for the grand final. A porsche, supplied by Jebson and co, was the ultimate prize.

From the moment the Hong Kong exhibition hall doors opened each morning, to well after the "official" closing time, the Full Swing Golf simulator was packed with golfers of all standards keen to take part and to experience the fun for themselves.

It is no exaggeration to say that the Full Swing system was once again (as at every show in Asia we support) the most popular feature on display, with constant queues, as players paid their money to our sponsored charity Orbis.

At the Precision Golf and Leisure stand we were inundated with enquiries regarding the supply and installation of Full Swing Golf simulators from around the Asia region, proving once again that interest in, and demand for Full Swing Golf simulators continues to grow rapidly. With more installations in the region in the coming months there has never been a better time to become part of the growing Asian indoor golf industry.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, had a go on the Full Swing Golf simulators, took part in the nearest the pin competition, or simply stopped by to discuss their plans for these amazing systems. We would also like to thank Jebson and Co. and Orbis once again for their help and support of the nearest the pin competition.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year at the 5th Hong Kong Golf Show, where we will showcase exciting new additions to our Full Swing Golf systems.

Hong Kong Jockey Club Install Full Swing Golf Simulators

Monday, 5th February 2007

Full Swing Golf (Asia) Ltd is pleased to confirm that the Hong Kong Jockey Club, in the very heart of Hong Kong, has placed an order for two Full Swing Golf simulators. This exclusive private members club of around 17,000 people is situated just a few hundred yards from the world famous Happy Valley Racecourse and boasts a wide range of facilities from fine dining to sports and relaxation in fantastic surroundings, all within easy reach of central Hong Kong.

After months of research, the Hong Kong Jockey Club selected Full Swing Golf as their preferred simulator technology, supplied, installed and maintained by Full Swing Golf (Asia) Ltd , the manufacturers main branch in the region.

The Jockey Club will provide their members, corporate clients and guests with an unparalleled range of golf facilities. The two Full Swing Golf simulators will provide PGA tuition, practice and play. On site video replay, swing capture and analysis systems will provide the very latest state of the art technology to video, compare, review and improve their members' games.

In addition to the Full Swing Golf Hong Kong Simulators, members will be able to use the state of the art short game practice area, specifically designed for the improvement of this overlooked area of the game. The patented bent green design, on two different levels and surrounded by rough, can be used for lessons by the PGA Professional or independent practice sessions. The covered green can be used all year round and well into the night by way of the on-site flood lighting.

This form of green can be custom built to fit any area. The bent turf gives an incredibly accurate feel, exactly like real bent grass, ensuring the ball rolls just as it would on a true bent grass putting green. The surface can be used all year round, with zero maintenance. The cups have very sharp edges with no need to install in-ground cups. The fringe grass is also very realistic, and the artificial bunker will be strategically placed to ensure the safety of the users at all times. You can have a combination of full size flags for bunker and chipping, and practice size flags for putting.

All of this combined means that the Hong Kong Golf Jockey Club members will have the use of one of the most advanced artificial short game areas available. This will hugely enhance the ability to offer lessons at the Jockey Club. Not only will long game lessons be available on the Full Swing Golf Simulators, but we can expand the range of coaching services available by including detailed, structured short game lessons and clinics. The all round service and lessons available to the members will be greatly enhanced with the inclusion of the chipping area and putting green.

Hong Kong Cricket Club's Full Swing Golf Sims are upgraded

Monday, 5th February 2007

The Hong Kong Cricket Club, one of Asia's oldest clubs, has had its two existing Full Swing Golf Simulators brought up to current specification by Full Swing Golf Asia the Manufacturers distributor for this product in the region.

HKCC were one of the first clubs in Hong Kong golf to install Full Swing Golf Simulators. Having been used since their installation in 1997 the systems had fallen become a little untidy, with no maintenance or upgrades since their initial installation. The tracking systems still worked well, which is testament to the quality and long-term reliability of The Full Swing Golf product.

After a customer's initial outlay, it can be difficult for them to commit to further upgrades, as the additional cost can be a sensitive subject. FSG puts huge emphasis on good value and quality after sales service, with regular ongoing customer contact and support. This is something that FSG is fully committed to for existing and future Full Swing Golf Hong Kong owners and operators.

FSG worked closely with the management team at the HKCC and looked at various options for the refit program that would not only bring the systems up to current specification but also ensure the long term quality of the simulators through constant monitoring and maintenance schedules.

The simulators have now been through a total refit, with FSG upgrading everything except the infra-red tracking systems. Cosmetically we also removed the front valance from the simulators improving their appearance dramatically, and giving users the feeling of a much more open hitting area.

Since FSG's refit program usage levels have soared to approximately 10 hours per simulator per day. The systems are also well used for coaching including junior classes. As a result of our refit it is safe to say that the HKCC Golf Centre has become one of the most used and well maintained facilities at the Hong Kong Cricket Club.

UBS Hong Kong Open Course Mapped by Full Swing Asia

Wednesday, 7th May 2008

Golf courses have long been recognised as some of the most beautiful places on earth and the Hong Kong Golf Club composite course in Fanling, close to the border with China is no exception.

This is home to one of the Asian/European tours oldest flagship events in the region. The goal was to design a clean cavity back iron that combines a lower CG and MOI with the classic forged feel.

According to FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda, “The engineering team met their objective and more. These irons exceed the performance demands of our professionals but they are also forgiving enough to help the lower handicapped golfers.”

The traditionally shaped iron head is manufactured with soft Forged S20C steel and is slightly offset. Its compact head with precisely positioned CG and MOI provides exceptional workability for shaping any shot. In addition, the lowered CG height creates ideal spin rates for golfers with faster club head speeds. For maximum playability the design team employed a round wide sole.

The new TC-910 Forged Irons feature the company’s new trapezoid grooves. This distinctive sharply-edged trapezoidal groove undergoes a mirror-face milling process which precisely and carefully mills each groove for optimal spin.

The company spent years engineering a new trapezoidal shaped groove so the TC-910 Forged Irons as well as FOURTEEN GOLF’s total product line would be in compliance with the new groove regulations effective in 2010 for the professional tours and 2014 for amateurs and tournaments including golf in Hong Kong

The TC-910 Forged Iron set is offered in a #3 iron through pitching wedge. They are finished with an appealing Nickel chrome satin finish. For a low penetrating ball flight the TC-910 Forged Irons are built with a high-flex tour weighted Dynamic Gold Steel Shaft. These irons developed for the better player will be available in January of 2010. Suggested retail is $1,199.00. For retailers in your area visit the company website www.fourteengolf.com and click on retail locator.

If you are attending the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show, please visit the Equipment Testing Center, Hitting Bay #9, to personally demo the new TC-910 Forged Irons.

“We encourage all attendees to visit the FOURTEEN GOLF hitting bay. Not only will our new irons be showcased, our entire 2010 new product line will be available to test. Come out to feel what it is like to play equipment developed on Tour but available for all golfers,” added Kamoda.

FOURTEEN GOLF in Japan established itself in 1981 as a premier golf equipment design company. The highly successful venture developed exclusive designs for Titleist, Yamaha, Srixon (formerly Dunlop Japan), Wilson, PRGR, and many more. The original team was credited with developing the first hybrid iron and the highly popular “Citation” cavity iron by Power Bilt which was one of the most popular irons of the 1980s. In the year 2000, the business transitioned into branded design and manufacturing company.

The name “Fourteen” is based on the fundamental rule of golf which states that the player can carry up to 14 golf clubs in their bag. If you are just starting to play golf in Hong Kong, the task of selecting the golf clubs that would work for you could be a bit challenging.

Firstly, you would need to know what a set of clubs is made up of. There are four main types of golf clubs: the Woods, the Irons, the Wedges and the Putter. Today, you may also come across hybrid clubs. A hybrid club is a cross of a wood and an iron. People who are having a hard time hitting their long irons, like a 2 or 3 iron, prefer to use these clubs. You are allowed to have up to 14 clubs and could be in any combination. An example of a good combination for your golf clubs would be one driver, one 4 wood, 3 through 9 iron, a lob wedge, a gap wedge, a sand wedge, a pitching wedge and one putter. However, the combination would entirely be up to you or the golfer as different combinations work for different people. Out staff at Hong Kong golf shop can help you

And then need to know your available options as you buy your golf clubs. You can either buy used or new. Although you would definitely save more if you choose to buy used golf clubs, you may encounter some issues like cracked shafts, worn grips and other problems that a new set would surely not have. If you are buying your first set, it usually makes more sense to buy new ones.

After deciding on buying a new or old set at your Hong Kong golf shop, you now have to decide if you will be getting a complete set or will just buy individual clubs by your own to make one set. Putting together your own set would be a bit more expensive compared to just buying a set of clubs that is already complete. Purchasing a complete set also saves you the hassle and the time in making decisions.

Presuming you are a beginner golfer to Hong Kong, it is recommended to buy the complete starter set, which includes one driver, a 3 wood, a 5 wood, the 3 through 9 irons, one pitching wedge and your putter. This could also include one sand wedge and a bag for your golf clubs. Although this set only has 11 or 12 clubs, as your game progresses, you could decide for yourself on which club to add to your set. You could eventually add a 2 iron, another wedge or a hybrid club.

Also Please keep in mind that getting expensive golf clubs will not improve your game or help you play better. You should not spend $300 on just one driver if you could spend a lot less to get everything you need in one package. Getting a complete set would be the best option to save you money that would later on need for replacing lost golf balls. Hong Kong Golf equipment can be a costly investment, as there are so many gimmicks and gadgets being sold to improve one's game. However, for the weekend duffer, nothing more is needed than the essentials: golf clubs, a bag to carry the clubs in and golf balls.

According to United States Golf Association rules, a golfer should carry no more than fourteen clubs in the bag. The essential clubs needed are a driver, fairway woods, irons, wedges and a putter. The golfer can mix and match the number of particular clubs to suit his game as long as he does not exceed fourteen clubs. Golf is not an inexpensive game, as the average golfer will normally spend between $500 and $1,000 to purchase a complete set of clubs.

Hong Kong Golf bags are an essential part of golf equipment because it would be impractical, if not impossible, to haul fourteen clubs and golf balls around a golf course. Bags can be made of fine leather but most golfers usually use some sort of lightweight nylon bag. It is advised that a golfer choose his bag based on how he will primarily be getting around the course. If he will primarily be riding on a golf cart, he may want to choose a larger bag that will accommodate more accessories, balls, towels, etc. If he plans on walking, then a light bag with a comfortable shoulder strap is recommended. Many of the light, nylon bags are being made with retractable legs that will allow the walking golfer to prop up his bag while on the course.

Hong Kong Golf balls are usually sold in boxes of three, called sleeves. Many times it is most economical to purchase packages that include five or six sleeves. The two main balls sold are balata and two-piece balls. Balata balls are made with a hard rubber core, wound with rubber bands, and covered with balata (a soft, plastic cover). The two-piece ball is normally a large, hard rubber core, surrounded by a surlyn cover. Surlyn is a hard plastic that is more resistant to nicks and cuts. The balata is softer, but most advanced golfers feel they can shape the flight of the ball easier than with a two-piece ball.

There are other pieces of Hong Kong golf equipment that the beginning golfer may wish to obtain. The first is a pair of golf shoes. Golf shoes range in variety from wingtip, to tennis shoes, to sandals. Most shoes made today come with soft rubber spikes, to assist the golfer in setting his feet into the ground. Another recommended piece of equipment would be a golf glove. After a day of swinging a club around 80 times, blisters can form on the grip hand if not protected by a glove. Other pieces of golf equipment that should be considered are golf tees, ball markers, a club brush and an umbrella, for rainy days.

Taylormade Golf Hong Kong

Gary Adams, the founder of the company, TaylorMade Hong Kong, launched the TaylorMade golf equipment in 1979. Add to that, four bogeys on Nos. 6, 9, 14 and 17 as against three birdies on Nos. 7, 12 and 16.

His round was a far cry from the second day when he shot flawless three birdies and no bogey.

“It was probably the breaks of the game. Maybe I was too eager to score heavily today. Sayang," Pucay said to GMANews.TV.

Like his countryman, Juvic Pagunsan also got off-tracked with a one-over-par 71 in the event which is Hong Kong’s oldest professional sporting event, having started in 1959.
